**1-2 5th grader scholars are chosen to be our Southside Elementary Social Media Interns for one week.**
Each week, two 5th Graders will be chosen to join me (Ms. Short - Assistant Principal) in PRACTICING POSITIVE POSTING on a social media page; Twitter. For one week, during the first 10-20 minutes of their Specials class time, these scholars act as photographers and take pictures of the positive happenings that they find around our school. They then work closely with me to create a positive message to accompany the picture(s) they take and with my assistance and supervision post to a monitored Twitter page.
This position/privilege has been created to help our 5th graders learn to THINK BEFORE THEY POST by understanding the Power of Words, Online Tracks and Digital Friendships. Students will discuss and practice the importance of making smart decisions if/when they have access to today's digital world.
